CHRIST LUTHERAN EVANGELICAL CHURCH offers classes in Christian education for all ages with an emphasis on God’s grace.

Sunday School

Sunday School for children aged 3 -12 years is held every Sunday at 11a.m. (with the exception of a joint service bringing together our German and English language members of all ages). We have Sunday School classes, with a team of teachers for each class:

Ages 3 and 4
Kindergarten and Grade 1
Grades 2 and 3
Grades 4 - 6

We have class time, after which we file into the church for a brief Children's Sermon and then join our families for the opportunity to participate in Holy Communion.

The Sunday School families have special events
on a monthly basis.

Confirmation Classes

Our confirmation classes focus on the studies of the Old and New Testament. We also explore the meaning of the Sacraments, The Creed and the Ten Commandments. Being actively involved in worship is part of our Confirmation program. We also look to our Confirmation classes for our Acolytes. This program is a two year course.

Confirmation I classes & Confirmation II classes

Open to Grade 6 & 7 students, meets Thursday evenings starting in late September until May from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

Confirmation Camp

Participation in this summer program by our BC Synod is highly recommended and expected of our Confirmands.

Adult Classes

There are several opportunities for adult bible study.

A German language Adult Bible Study, which meets every Monday evening at 2:00 pm. Everyone is welcome.
W.C.L. (Women of Christ Lutheran) meets every third Tuesday evening for a bible study at 7:00 pm.
'Frauenverein" our German Language Women meet the 2nd Thursday of every month at 1:30 pm for a bible study in the German language.
The F.R.I.E.N.D.S. group meets every other Friday at 7:30 pm in various members' homes. FRIENDS is an acronym for "FELLOWSHIP REGULARLY IN ENVIRONMENT that's NON-THREATENING DESSERTS SERVED!" Young families bring their children who have a chance to deepen Christian friendships during play while adults share prayer concerns, sing and have bible study opportunities.
